OK, we know that YOLO has already gone the way of leggings and uggs (and thank goodness for that) but we still hear it from time to time and always feel that maybe the person using the phrase is, well, misusing it.

Think about it: You Only Live Once.  So maybe we don’t want to spend our precious earthly time doing things that could put our safety of the safety of others at risk. 

We propose a YOLO revolution!  No longer will this acronym signify something selfish and possibly stupid… instead, let YOLO be a call to action to change the world for the better, because hey, You Only Live Once. 

Let’s start small.

Ten ways to make some one smile today, because YOLO:

1. Hold the door open for a stranger.

2. Ask to see a store’s manager and comment on the great service.

3. Send a thank you note to some one you’re grateful to have in your life.

4. Share your umbrella-ella-ella

5. Ask an elderly person to tell you about the good old days.

6. Write a love letter. Leave it on the bus.

7. Make some one a mix on Spotify.

8. Stop & buy lemonade from a kid’s stand.

9. Call some one you care about and ask them how they’re doing.

10. Take notice of everyone around you. Smile.
